I’m Sellab, a systems administrator and founder in San José. I started in IT the practical way: in high school my father and I started Next Plus LLC, a federal IT and supply contractor, and I have run its network, voice, and storage since. That meant learning Cisco CUCM, VLANs, firewalls, and vendor management on live systems with real customers.
Today I am the IT Administrator for the Student Union at San José State University: 200+ Windows endpoints across four departments, Active Directory, Intune, Windows Server, Hyper-V, and the payroll and ticketing systems the organization runs on. In my first months I moved 2,000+ employee payroll records from ADP to Paylocity over the vendors’ APIs, automated imaging from two hours a machine to thirty minutes, cut ticket resolution from weeks to under 48 hours, got six modernization and security proposals approved, and found malware that had sat undetected on a workstation for more than three years.
In January 2026 I founded Argus Defense Systems to build open systems the government can fix, change, and own. Our first product is a backpack drone that flies itself without GPS or a radio link to jam. Along the way I have built an ATAK plugin for Army xTech 2026, an aided-target-recognition prototype on NVIDIA Jetson, and an offline convoy route-risk tool.
I hold the CCNA and CompTIA Security+, Network+, and A+, and I am finishing a B.S. in Engineering Technology (Computer Network System Management) at SJSU, expected December 2027. I am able to obtain a security clearance.
