I started in IT the practical way: in high school my father and I started Next Plus LLC, a federal IT and supply contractor, and I have run its network, voice, and storage since. That meant learning Cisco CUCM, VLANs, firewalls, and vendor management on live systems with real customers. Today I am the IT Administrator for the Student Union at San José State University: 200+ Windows endpoints across four departments, Active Directory, Intune, Windows Server, Hyper-V, and the payroll and ticketing systems the organization runs on. In my first months I moved 2,000+ employee payroll records from ADP to Paylocity over the vendors’ APIs, automated imaging from two hours a machine to thirty minutes, cut ticket resolution from weeks to under 48 hours, got six modernization and security proposals approved, and found malware that had sat undetected on a workstation for more than three years. In January 2026 I founded Argus Defense Systems to build open systems the government can fix, change, and own. Our first product is a backpack drone that flies itself without GPS or a radio link to jam. Along the way I have built an ATAK plugin for Army xTech 2026, an aided-target-recognition prototype on NVIDIA Jetson, and an offline convoy route-risk tool. I hold the CCNA and CompTIA Security+, Network+, and A+, and I am finishing a B.S. in Engineering Technology (Computer Network System Management) at SJSU, expected December 2027. I am able to obtain a security clearance. KEY FIGURES 200+ Windows endpoints administered (Student Union, four departments) 2,000+ Payroll records migrated by API (ADP to Paylocity, Postman) <48h Ticket resolution, down from weeks (First quarter in the role) 6 Infrastructure and security proposals approved (Servers, Proxmox, lifecycle, containers, AI, tickets) 30 min To image a machine, from two hours (Fully automated deployment) NOW · OCTOBER 2026 · Running the Proxmox VE pilot against the Hyper-V fleet · Coordinating the approved server refresh · Shipping SecKit, 59 browser-side security tools · EMCON Sentinel for Army xTech 2026 HOW I WORK 01 Tickets are not projects. One of the six proposals split the project queue from the help desk. A server refresh planned inside a ticket queue gets interrupted two hundred times, and a password reset treated as a project never ships. 02 Automate the second time. Imaging a machine took two hours by hand. Now it takes thirty minutes unattended, and the next two hundred are free. The payroll migration was the same idea with APIs instead of clicks. 03 Measure before you migrate. The Proxmox pilot began with a documented plan and a long-term cost and benefit assessment, not a weekend install. Migrations earn their place. § 02 EXPERIENCE ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── IT ADMINISTRATOR May 2026 — Present Student Union, Inc. at San José State University Full-time · San José, CA Own the Windows fleet, the servers behind it, and the payroll and ticketing systems the organization runs on. 01 Migrated 2,000+ employee payroll records from ADP to Paylocity by scripting both vendors’ REST APIs in Postman, instead of re-keying them by hand. 02 Automated Windows imaging and deployment for the 200+ endpoint fleet: a machine went from two hours of manual setup to thirty minutes unattended. 03 Cut ticket resolution from weeks to under 48 hours, and separated project work from the help-desk queue so neither starves the other. 04 Wrote six infrastructure and security proposals, all approved: an AI assistant for IT, the server refresh, Hyper-V to Proxmox VE, lifecycle and security management, containerized assets, and splitting tickets from projects. Together: 30% more system efficiency, 40% fewer security incidents. 05 Found and removed malware that had gone undetected on a workstation for 3+ years, within my first three weeks. 06 Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, Azure, and Hyper-V; lead the Proxmox VE pilot and coordinate the approved hardware refresh. FOUNDER & CEO Jan 2026 — Present Argus Defense Systems Founder · San José, CA Open systems the government can fix, change, and own. First product: a backpack drone that flies itself with no GPS and no radio link to jam. 01 Founded the company and lead product and system architecture across flight controllers, sensors, and autonomy software. NVIDIA Inception member; Founders Inc Canopy alum. 02 Built EMCON Sentinel (Java, Python), an ATAK plugin for Army xTech 2026 that warns operators when RF direction-finding could locate them, fed by phone radios, MAVLink telemetry, and RTL-SDR. 03 Built Void Talon, aided target recognition for counter-UAS weapon stations on NVIDIA Jetson Orin, publishing Cursor-on-Target to ATAK and WinTAK. 04 Built Argus Cache, an offline convoy route-risk tool (Python, NumPy, SciPy) that publishes TAK/CoT overlays. 05 Lead fundraising, investor relations, and engagement with defense stakeholders. IT TECHNICIAN & CO-FOUNDER Apr 2024 — Present Next Plus LLC Part-time · Mountain House, CA A federal IT and supply contractor I started with my father while still in high school. I run its network, voice, and storage. 01 Co-founded a CA Certified Small Business registered with SAM (CAGE 9VS81) and active on DLA DIBBS. 02 Cut network downtime 20% with VLAN segmentation and firewall policy cleanup, and infrastructure cost 10% by consolidating hardware. 03 Maintain 99.99% voice uptime administering Cisco Unified Communications Manager clusters, SIP trunks, and multi-vendor telephony. 04 Deployed TrueNAS with SSO and MFA, improving storage access efficiency 80%, and migrated on-premises services to managed platforms. 05 Onboarded 25+ vendors (Dell, Lenovo, HP, Microsoft, Cisco, Adobe) and opened medical-sector vendor relations. EARLIER · System Administrator Intern, Global Grid for Learning (GG4L) (Jan – May 2023). Certified School Passport Administrator; secured student-data integrations for 100+ users with a remote team across three time zones. · Test Engineer, contract, Testworker (2017 – 2022). iOS QA in Xcode: 15+ critical bugs found, including unsecured database access. · IT Support Assistant, Better Tomorrow Inc (2017). Help desk, and a WordPress front-end template. § 03 EXHIBITS ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── A Argus autonomous drone Defense · 2026 A backpack drone that flies itself with no GPS and no radio link to jam.
